Congratulations to Geneva Fitzsimonds for receiving the prestigious Michael Hiatt Hall of Fame Award. This distinguished honor is awarded by the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA) and represents the highest recognition within the field of music education.
The Michael Hiatt Hall of Fame Award was established in 1968 to honor the exceptional legacy of music educators who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of music education in the state of Minnesota. Geneva’s dedication, passion, and impact on her students and the broader music community have made her a deserving recipient of this esteemed accolade.
Geneva was formally inducted into the MMEA Hall of Fame at the MMEA Midwinter Convention on February 13. This momentous occasion is a testament to her outstanding work and enduring commitment to excellence in music education.
